Discover Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint

If you're in the mood for some mouth-watering, Southern-style barbecue, then Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, should be at the top of your list. Located at 200 Crossings Ln, this local gem brings the heat with some of the most flavorful smoked meats you'll ever try. Whether you're a seasoned barbecue connoisseur or someone looking to explore the world of slow-cooked meats, Martin's offers a memorable experience that will keep you coming back for more.

One of the standout features of Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint is the way they do their smoking. Unlike many other places that rush through the process, Martin's takes their time to perfect each dish, using a slow smoking method to infuse every piece of meat with that signature, rich flavor. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by the inviting aroma of wood-smoked meats, making it impossible not to salivate.

The menu is filled with classic barbecue favorites, but it’s their whole hog that truly sets them apart. This is no ordinary barbecue spot. The restaurant prides itself on using a traditional whole hog method, which means they cook an entire pig low and slow, over a wood fire. The result? Meat that’s tender, juicy, and full of flavor with just the right amount of smokiness. Paired with their homemade sauces-whether you prefer something tangy, sweet, or spicy-it’s a combination that’s hard to beat.

But it’s not just about the meat. The sides at Martin's are equally as impressive. Their baked beans are a fan favorite, packed with flavor and perfectly balanced in sweetness and smokiness. The coleslaw adds a crunchy contrast to the rich, smoky meats, while the cornbread is buttery and perfectly crumbly. All of these elements come together to create a complete barbecue experience that goes beyond just the main course.

Another thing that makes Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint a standout is the friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The staff is always ready with a smile, and the casual, laid-back vibe makes it the perfect spot for everything from family dinners to a night out with friends. The restaurant also offers plenty of seating, whether you prefer an indoor or outdoor dining experience. For those who want to enjoy the fresh air, the patio area is a great choice to relax and enjoy your meal.

Whether you’re coming for the whole hog or just a plate of ribs, Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint delivers consistently amazing barbecue that keeps locals and visitors alike raving. • Nice BBQ place. We came at about 6pmish. This place is highly recommended, but I like to be the judge for myself so I went in with no expectations. I came with my wife and family visiting from Canada. I had the pulled pork as they unfortunately were out of the ribs when I visited (very sad about that). I found the pulled pork very tender, but it could use some seasoning. I used the BBQ sauce provided. To be honest, I think this is the first time I have had vinegar based BBQ sauce. It added a nice tangy flavor to the pork, but is it supposed to be very runny? It is possible that I am just used to the thicker based BBQ sauce (which I think I may have preferred). Again though, the sauce was not bad, just new to me. The Baked Beans was the star of this dish though . The BEST BAKED BEANS I HAVE EVER HAD! Perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Whoever came up with that recipe deserves an award. All of my cousins agree on that as well. I also had the Mac and Cheese which was good. My cousin ordered the Beef brisket which he was highly pleased with. My wife had the 1/4 chicken with broccoli salad. I tried a piece and thought the chicken needed something as it seemed quite bland, but the sauce they give you with it adds some flavor. Next time I go back I hope to have the ribs, or I shall order the nachos my brother-in-law had as they looked really good too. My sister had the redneck taco. The slaw that comes with it is very delicious. I would go back.

  • I absolutely love Martin’s BBQ! The sliced brisket is incredible — tender, flavorful, and perfect every single time. I work next door and come in about once a week just for it because it’s that good. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit even better. Consistently great food and consistently great people!
